Raise Awareness & Treat Eye Disease
Early treatment is critically important to prevent some common eye diseases from causing permanent vision loss or blindness. The Eye-See Project’s mission is to raise awareness and treat eye disease. We attend to eye care needs through free eye screening, treatment, and eyeglass prescriptions in communities of need. The primary eye diseases we treat are glaucoma and myopia. You can support these efforts through your financial contributions, signing up to volunteer, and donating eyesight glasses or medical equipment. You can donate any amount. Recurring donations are welcome to assist with expanding the project’s reach.
Upcoming Eye See Projects
From December 2022 through Q1 2023, the Eye See Project will provide free eye care for 3000+ people in Kenya and Malawi. The eye clinics will include free eye exams and prescription glasses in several rural communities. Your financial assistance will provide eye medications, prescription glasses, and testing kits and support the medical and logistics teams. Thank you for your generosity!
Glaucoma & Myopia
Although Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness globally, other emerging eye-related conditions, such as myopia, affect children and families in Africa and the Middle East. In Africa, there is one or less than one Ophthalmologist for every million people. Even when people reach a doctor, they don’t have the money to pay for eyeglasses, medicines, and eye drops they may need to take for the rest of their lives.
